Introduction
I’m James Watson, a language professional and technical problem-solver with a background in translation, quality assurance, education and hands-on systems work.
I’m especially interested in the places where language, technology and human judgement meet: making information clearer, workflows more reliable, and technical systems easier for people to use.

Translation QA automation
Built regex-based checks and macros around Trados Studio to catch recurring formatting and consistency problems quickly, reducing repetitive manual QA work.
Internal intranet
Designed and hand-built an internal site for a workplace team, working directly with stakeholders and creating a simple editing workflow that non-technical colleagues could use.
Practical data & archive tools
I regularly build small scripts and workflows to extract, clean, organise and make sense of awkward personal and professional data.
